This report was written in 2007 as part of the first phase for The New Mentality and helped to lay the foundation for this pilot project. Its findings offer solid insight into what the term ‘Youth Engagement’ (YE) really means and how it can be put into practice. The report also provides definitions of how YE is being applied in child and youth mental health centres across the province of Ontario and examples of how to: build youth-adult partnerships; support youth as decision makers; and identify roles that youth can assume within organizations.
